General Ledger Analysis

Chart of Accounts (CoA)

The basic of a General Ledger module – part of BI4Dynamics NAV Financials – is the chart of accounts (CoA). The chart of accounts has to be well structured in Microsoft Dynamics NAV. If this is done, BI4Dynamics NAV allows you to analyse not only accounts within COA, but also groups and subgroups.

You can select any type of measure you wish to analyse your chart of account trough (Net Change, Debit, Credit … YTD measures … measures in additional currencies … and budges too).

Year-To-Date Net Change

YTD Net Change

Most of bigger organizations, especially international corporations speak only about Year-To-Date Net Change.

Measures that we see in our report are: Net Change YTD, Net Change Last YTD and Net Change YTD Index. These three measures are already available in the standard BI4Dynamics NAV.

Budgets

If we want to compare our results in a relative way, we compare it to the budgets.

With our chart of accounts we can analgise Net Change, Budget Amount, Budget Variance, Net Change/Budget Index, and others.

The main advantage – in comparison to the reporting from Microsoft Dynamics NAV – is that you can visualize the results on a chart.
